Direct Booking:
When you send a direct booking, the sitter will have 24 hours to either accept or decline. If the booking remains unanswered for more than 24 hours, you will be automatically refunded the whole booking amount (Please allow up to 3 working days for the refund to show in your balance. Although refunds are processed instantaneously by DogDubby, some banks do take longer).
If the sitter accepts, then the direct booking is confirmed and the amount will be charged to your credit card. If the sitter declines, the booking is not confirmed and we will release whole booking amount, in order for you to start searching and sending direct bookings to other sitters in your area.
Enquiries:
Enquiries are similar to sending messages. When sending an enquiry, the sitter will be able to reply by either pre-approving (sitter is available), declining (sitter is unavailable), or by sending a custom quote (perhaps quoting a discounted price in order to suit your needs).
If the enquiry is pre-approved, you will then need to confirm the booking by inputting your card details and paying for the service. This applies to custom quotes as well. If you are happy with the quote, then simply go ahead and confirm by inputting your card details and paying for the service.
If the enquiry is declined, don't take it personally (some sitters are very busy), simply send enquiries to other sitters in your area and start the process again.
