The aim of DogBuddy is to help dog owners to find a dogsitter easily and quickly as well as offering to DogBuddies the chance to do what they love.

In order to do that and make the communication as simple as possible, sitters are ranked in the search results, in an specific order.

The factors that are taken into consideration to rank the listings, are as follows:

  • an atractive listing (with lots of photos and a good description)

  • Response rate

  • number of bookings

  • reviews and returning customers (very, very important)

  • other factors such as availability for recent enquiries or bookings

(New DogBuddy sitters will have more visibility during their first few days on the site)

Please note that the ranking may change every day, since it's not something fixed, it depends on the users' activity in the platform.

This means that it is possible that a new user on DogBuddy, with less reviews but with more availability in the last few days and more returning customers ranks higher than another sitter with more bookings and reviews.

If you want to rank higher in the search results you can:

  • share your DogBuddy listing on Social networks and with dog owners you already know from the park or your area in order to get more enquiries and bookings

  • always reply to every message and booking request you receive as soon as possiblekeep all the bookings and transactions on DogBuddy

  • Remember to update your calendar so you don't have to reject many bookings.
